In the previous year, Dell schemed to one-up its Streak line, the Peju introduction. The Dell Peju windows 8 tablet is the latest tech gadget to be released this year. You may be thinking about windows 8. In this year, in 2012 windows 8 also comes and each company tries to create devices that are windows 8 compatible. The Dell Peju tablet is much better than the previous tablets.

Operating Systems such as Android as well as iOS ruled in the tablet market and Windows tablet have difficult struggle in rising up against them. The long time association of Microsoft with Dell will show their capabilities in the form of this new tablet and it made a promise to prove to be another outstanding to the tablets world.

The Dell Peju Tablet is more likely to be called as Dell Latitude ST. The specs of this highly anticipated tablet are also top of the line. The processing power of Dell is Intel Core i5, 5GB of RAM, 10.1 inch 1920 x 1080 wide angle display and compatible of Windows 7 Pro and Windows 8. The slots or ports available in this tablet include Mini VGA, 2 USB, HDMI, Embeds USB ports, Audio SIM 3G, microSD, audio ports and HDMI output. The integrated battery is 5,500 mAh that offers six to eight hours battery life. The connectivity available includes WiFi b/g, 3G &4G and Bluetooth. The integrated webcam has 1.3 megapixel front facing and 5MP Rear Facing camera.

The inputs of this new tablet include the stylus, touch, Bluetooth keyboard, USB keyboard through the docking station. Its dimensions are 10.8 x 6.7 x 0.63 inches and weighs 1.9 lbs which is a bit thicker and heavier than Android and iPad tablets.

The features and specs of the New Dell Peju tablet are impressive enough to make the fans of Dell go crazy over getting this new product once it will be released in the market. The code name of the tablet which is Peju or Latitude ST would debt the compatibility of the Windows 8 without having to reengineer it. The device is a rival of the Asus Eee slate that overcomes its weakness, though not all. The price of this tablet is also sure to win the interest of the public.

Cons: USB 3.0 is lacking, inappropriate Dell Stage Launcher, insignificant 3D performance.

Summary: The new offering from Dell, the XPS 8300 (X8300-4004NBK) provides you with powerful and expandable quad-core tower with sufficient space to have your digital files stored.

Review:

The Dell XPS 8300 (X8300-4004NBK) is a desktop computer with true quad-core and expandable process. It can take care of all your multimedia activities such as photo editing and video encoding. The desktop also comes with discrete graphics card that allow multi-monitor setups and light 3D gaming. The price is decent but there are some systems that are less expensive which equal it in terms of performance and features.

This version looks like the old ones. If you don’t look too closely at the back panel or the number of the box, you will see that it has no difference at all. It features parallel sleek black front face as well as sides in matte black. Compared to its Inspiron siblings, the XPS 8300 is more stylish with its chrome colored ring surrounding the bezel.

Aside from the external looks, Dell also has updated its interior that allow more expansion room but you will need to take into account its 460W power supply in case you want some upgrades of the GPU nature. There is available space for additional hard drive over the 1TB, additional optical drive, 7200 rpm drive along with the the three PCIe x1 cards and dual layer DVD +/- RW one. The PCIe x16 graphics card slot, one miniPC card slot as well as the four DIMM slots are loaded with features such as a 1GB ATI Radeon High Definition 6450 graphics cards, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi card plus 8GB memory.

Right outside is where the eight USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, eSATA and audio ports. Unfortunately, the system is not sporting USB 3.0 that is more customer-oriented compared to the slower eSATA line.

It is also featuring a small number of pieces of pre-loaded software such as the Microsoft Office 2010 starter and the McAfee Internet Security software. Office is completely functional when it comes to essential document editing however McAfee will no longer be useful after thirty days unless you avail of the paid subscription.

When it comes to performance, the XPS 8300 (X8300-4004NBK) is among the best as it is powered with 3GHz Intel Core i5-2320 processor as well as 8GF of memory helped in attained great scores on most multimedia benchmark tests.

Cons: Inaccurate touchscreen

Review: The Dell Inspiron One 2320 is competitive priced and is a solid performer. However, its build looks cheaper and the touchscreen is inaccurate.

Review:

The Dell Inspiron One 2320 is powered by a formidable desktop processor and supported by a decent amount of memory and features full touch screen.

There are currently four models in this range – the entry level system that use 2.6GHz Pentium G620 and three models that use Intel Core processors. These include the i3-1200, the i5-2400S and the flagship model powered by the 2.8GGHz i7-2600S.

The models’ Quad core i5-2400S that is regulated at 2.5GHz is backed with the 6GB 1333MHz DDR3 all that is giving the 2320 with excellent performance. The Inspiron 2320 is built around 23 inches LED WLED monitor with a highly reflective screen. It has vibrant and rich colors with sharp text. The former comes in practically when watching content whether it is through DVB-T/Analog TV tuner or from the inbuilt Blu-ray drive. The only disadvantage is the coating of the screen can reflect every light.

Dell installed their Stage user interface allowing for touch control of the usual multimedia functions including music, video, photo, documents and shortcuts. While this may work well it does not feel quite as slick as other similar technologies.

One area of AIO’s which still relies on mobile technology is graphics subsystem. The One 2320 version had graphics that are powered by Nvidia GeForce GT525M that means a compromise in terms of thinking about playing games. It has 1080p resolution producing an average frame rate score. If you want to be able to play, then old school games would be fine with the prowess of the 2320.

There is HDMI port built behind the unit but it is only input. This means you can connect game consoles but you can’t use the HDMI in hooking up to an external High Definition Screen. Aside from the missing out the HDMI port, One 2320 is equipped with ports where you can hook up with other devices and this include VGA, composite video in port and S/PDIF optical out. Along with these ports behind the unit are four USB 2.0 ports and a LAN port. However, it lacks USB 3.0 ports. But it does come with dual band 802.11n WiFi.

The Dell Inspiron One 2320 is well equipped with great features and despite the lack of some important ports, it is still great choice for the budget.

While it is tempting to upgrade your computer depending on the latest technologies and highest options available, but with no optimum usage, it will only be just a waste of money and time.

Cons: Limited upgrade options due to some corner cutting on motherboard.

Summary: When looking for mainstream computer with excellent computing features in a case which dares to stand out in the sea of conformity of desktop computers, then the Dell Inspiron 620 is what you exactly need.

Many consumers have liked the Dell Inspiron 620. Aside from glossy black color, Dell dared to sell midtower computers in other colors. The few touches in the case made the life of upgraders easier. When it comes to the performance and with other Windows desktops out there that have unappealing appearance, this computer is recommended to you. Dell offers this model in five bezel colors and in slim-tower case as well. Any color aside from black will have to add $29 to the computer price but for sure design minded consumers won’t mind paying this amount.

This desktop offering from Dell performs precisely as expected with its Intel Core i5 2130 processor. However, you may not want to expect more from this when it comes to upgrades. The 300-watt power supply is limiting you to budget graphics card not to mention with its two RAM slots, you can’t add extra memory without having to junk the sticks which came with it. Though you don’t get a room for improving the performance, at least it offers you with some space for extra features.

It comes with a spare and hard drive that is outward facing through a conveniently places drive slot and the two 1X PCI Express slots. The hard drive and card expansion options are very reasonable but it would be preferable if the spare memory stick slots are two. If you are not turned on with the potential for upgrade of the Dell Inspiron 620, the design touches are worthy of praise as it simplifies the upgrades that can be made. It could have been perfect as well if Dell was inspired on the external connectivity of this desktop computer.

The system offers a great number of USB 2.0 jacks, VGA, HDMI and DVI video outputs on graphics card and to keep with the current trends, you will be able to get only 5.1 analog audio jack and there is no USB 3.0, FireWire, eSATA as well as other external data connectivity. Overall, the Dell Inspiron 620 is one of the most excellent desktop computers in the market and with its great design, you will surely fell in love with it.

Pros: Attractive exterior, great battery life and robust keyboard

Cons: Weak performance and does not offer backlit keyboard option

Review:

The Dell Inspiron 14z laptop design is looks similar to the Inspiron 14. Their differences are the 14z uses Intel CULV processor, WLED display and the 6-cell battery that are all intended to extend the battery life. During the first glance, the 14z appears like an average budget notebook with 14 inch display. The standard resolution on the screen and lack of backlit keyboard though do not provide the laptop with premium feel and look.

The Inspiron 14z is durable despite the fact that the chassis of the notebook is constructed from thin plastics. The areas suffering from flex were over the keyboard next to the battery and back of the display lid. When pressing the lid with your fingers, it would create distortions on the screen you will even hear plastic creaking when pressing down next into the battery.

When it is closed, the laptop appears to be thinner than budget laptops but the weight of the battery made it too heavy. The bottom of the notebook houses the battery as well as access plates for the RAM and hard drive.

The 14 inch high definition panel with 1366×768 resolution of the Dell Inspiron 14z is not quite impressive. The screen colors are great, but the contrast was not really nice. The WLED backlighting offers wide range of settings for brightness adjustment. Also, the horizontal viewing angles are excellent and won’t give you trouble when you want to share movie with other people. The vertical viewing angles are average with colors that wash out quickly when viewed from above and the colors also start to distort when moving the screen back.

The keyboard has full sized keys and acceptable key spacing as well as a fantastic depth into the key throw. Every key has flat surface and textured black finish. Its keyboard is firm so you need not to worry regarding the keyboard flex while you type.

The multi-touch touchpad though is pretty average for 14 inch notebook. It was reasonably responsive, with little lag and good sensitivity. While the accuracy of the touchpad was a bit off at times but can be corrected by tweaking the drivers.

The Dell Inspiron 14z integrated VGA, 3 USB ports and HDMI video out ports, multi-format memory card reader and Ethernet. However, it lacks FireWire, eSATA and ExpressCard.

Overall, the Dell Inspiron 14z laptop is an excellent laptop that has a wide range of features.

Pros: Good performance, has an integrated optical drive

Cons: Slightly tacky and dull chassis

Review:

The Dell Inspiron 13z utilises slightly roughened, matte surface that will give you the impression of being robust at first glance. While the touch pad and palm rests have easily to clean silver finish, the fingerprints can easily and visibly be collected on the high gloss, textured black lid. Due to this texture, dust and small scratches are not eye-catching.

Though there are different surfaces on the touchpad, keyboard and palm rest, they still provide good feeling to the touch and are extremely functional. The keyboard stability is great, but not ideal as it gives medium pressure. The lid stability meets its protective function. It has big and firmly connected battery that increased the chassis height by about 16 mm and locked by two latches. The 80 Wh battery weighs 2010 g. If you want to choose 4-cell or 6-cell battery, the size decreases and so as the battery life.

It features three times US 2.0, analog VGA-out, Ethernet, audio, card reader and security slot for Kenningston. Another great feature is the HDMI port that enables digital connection of flat screen displays and television. The Dell Inspiron 13z Laptop comes with a built-in optical drive which simplifies data backup and software installation. The keyboard uses nearly the entire case width. The cursor keys as well as page up/down keys are great to use as they are full sized. The keys are featuring the high contrast labeling.

The keyboard area stability is awesome and only gives in when applying stronger force. Users can experience trouble free typing because of the keyboard’s mechanical properties. It has a slightly sunk touchpad in the palm rests and conformable size giving place space for navigation with evident borders on sensitive area. In terms of gliding and precision, the Dell Inspiron 13z Laptop is great and with free moving touchpad buttons. However, it does not feature multi-touch.

The WLED 13.3 screen features the traditional 1366×768 resolution and has real life glossy surface. The build in screen features are improved color space. The stability of the viewing angle is over average in the horizontal direction, allowing more people to watch movie together.

The Dell Inspiron 13z is geared with Intel Core 2 Duo SU 7300 Central Processing Unit with 3 Megabytes Level-2 Cache and 1.3 GHz clock rate. The 512 Megabytes dedicated video memory is the one responsible for the output on the graphic. The 4GB DDR3 RAM and 320 GB contributes to its overall performance.
