Cons: Does not offer much room for internal upgrades

The XPS 8300 is powered by a brand new 3.4GHz Intel Core i7-2600 CPU in its all-white casing. It comes with 8 GB of DDR3-1333 memory, the Sandy Bridge CPU helps it make short work on some tests. This version looks similar to the previous versions. It has very similar glossy black front face and on the sides is matte black. It is stylish than its Inspiron Siblings and comes with chrome colored ring around the bezel. It also updated its interior to allow more room for expansion but you also need to take into account the 460W power supply in case you want to make upgrades on the GPU nature.

It has space for extra hard drive over the 1TB, 7,200rpm drive, three PCIe x1 cards and another optical drive aside from the dual layer DVD +/- RW. The single miniPC card slot, single PCIe x16 graphics cards slot of the and four DIMM slots of the system is packed by components, the 1 GB ATI Radeon High Definition Graphics card, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi card and 8GB memory. You can find eight USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, eSATA and audio ports from the outside. However, it does not have USB 3.0 that is more consumer-oriented.

It also comes with few pieces of pre-loaded software. This includes McAfee Internet Security software with thirty day subscription, as well as the Microsoft Office 2012 started. Office is functional for basic editing of documents. The system also offers the Stage launcher of Dell that hangs above the desktop. This makes sense on touch screen computers you can hide it at least. It also has an app called Cozi which is a family scheduling calendar.

The XPS 8300 hard drive performance was stellar. It has 2TB available space that could take awhile before it gets filled. There is also a room for one more drive but since the case is cramped and its hard drive bay is mounted sideways, it may be necessary for you to remove the graphics and other cables in the way when you install it. It comes with four SATA ports on the motherboard and can support RAID 0 and RAID 1.

The Dell XPS 8300 is capable of running reasonably quietly even when under a heavy load. It comes with four fans, the graphics card fan, CPU fan, 120mm rear extraction fan and fan in the 460W power supply.

Pros: HDMI, excellent battery life and 7200 rpm hard drive

Cons: The body can slightly creak and is a quite bulky

Dell Inspiron M102z features an 11.6 inches screen display and runs in an AMD E-350 APU that combines the graphics and CPU in one small chip and is much faster compared to the conventional 10 in netbook based on the Atom CPU of Intel.

Because it is relatively large in size, the Inspiron M102z is much comfortable to use and provides a decent size of chiclet keyboard with bigger keys and palmrest. The keys have stiff and shallow feel but you will be able to get used to them after quite a while of using. It also has a good sized touch pad and is very responsive.

The Inspiron is quite bulky and weighs around 1.55 kg and gets thicker towards its back from where its battery is situated. It comes in Piano black, Fire Red and Lotus pink varieties. It has smooth and semi-glossy palmrest meaning it can feel a little stickly after typing on the netbook for extended period of time. When using it for a long time on the lap, warmth will be felt especially to the center where the RAM is found so make sure the air vent on the left is not blocked. The quality of its build is decent for inexpensive laptop but its screen is a little creaky when moving the lid up and down.

Around the Dell Inspirton M102z, you will be able to get three USB 2.0 ports, headphone and microphone ports, 10/100 Ethernet, HDMI, VGA and SD card slot. It is also equipped with webcam, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. However, it does not come with USB 3.0 port such as MSI U270.

When it comes to the performance, the Inspiron M102z is quite impressive and is much faster than other laptop of its class. The M102z can be employed for video transcoding if you are dedicated and do not really mind about waiting a long time for results. The hard drive of the unit has 7200 rpm spin speed and recorded at 35.33 MB rates per second which is an impressive result.

With the integrated AMD Radeon High Definition 6310 graphics, it has more vigor than netbooks that use integrated Intel High Definition graphics. Its excellent battery life is also a remarkable feature that lasted 4 hour and 32 minutes where the power management is disabled, Wi-Fi is enabled and the screen brightness is maximized.

Overall, the Dell Inspiron has eye catching style and despite the lack of features, it does have some good points worthy of its price.

Pros: Offers wide connectivity features, versatile configuration and pleasing exterior design.

Cons: Pricey without the superb performance

Review:
Dell XPS 8300 desktop comes with a Second Generation Intel Core i7 CPU and is pretty perfect for practically any task but is not ideal for hardcore and dedicated gamers. This PC has stylish look and does not harbour old-fashioned slots and ports. You will not be able to see PS/2 or VGA ports, instead there are two DVI ports, 8 USB 2.0 ports, DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet, eSATA and HDMI. But it does not have USB 3.0 ports, wireless card and digital TV tuner.

It is housed in a small case around 450mm deep, 190mm wide and 410mm high. It comes with a sliding door that hides the two USB 2.0 ports, another two USB 2.0 ports and audio parts at the top of the machine. In front of the USB Ports is a recessed area that can be used to rest a phone or MP3 player safely while it is charging. This location of the USB ports only goes to show that it will be most convenient when placed on the floor instead on the desk top. Overall, its size is pretty small only that it appears a little chunky as it has thicker front panel at the bottom rather than the top.

The inside of the XPS 8300 is quite haltered. It comes with a micro ATX motherboard decked out with Intel Core i7-2600 CPU, AMD Radeon HD 5770 graphics card and 8GB of DDR3 SDRAM. Its storage is supported by a 2TB hard drive Seagate Barracuda XT and comes with a DVD burner. The XPS 8300 hard drive performance is stellar and the Seagate Barracuda XT showed a good transfer rate for single drive. There is plenty of room with its 2TB space available. It also features 4 SATA ports on motherboard the supports RAID 0 and RAID 1.

The machine runs quietly even when under heavy load but is noticeable when in a quiet room. It comes with four fans, a graphics card fan, the CPU fan, 460W power supply fan and a rear extraction fan. The noise of the hard drive can be noticed as well when the heads write or read data.

Dell installed few bits of software that provides better user experience and to make it a lot easier to obtain support and data backup.

Overall, the Dell XPS Desktop 8300 is a fast and user friendly desktop but for performance enthusiasts and gamers, this may not be the most suitable laptop for their activity.

Pros: Fantastic new features, luxurious design, great for multimedia features.

Cons: Storage is meager for the price

Review:
Dell XPS 17 has a fantastic design, wide range of multimedia features and equipped with Intel Core i5 2410M processor that offers comprehensive performance especially for multimedia users. It allows you to multitask and use different applications at once including movie editing software, word processing program and every application such as web browser that can run with fluidity.

It comes with a powerful Nvidia Optimus GeForce GTX 555M graphics card that allows you to play the newest games or edit some movies in HD. However, its storage is a little meager for the price as it was expected to be more than 320GB from machine that can hold large photo, music and file libraries.

In terms of design, Dell has done a wonderful and impressive job as the XPS 17 has a high end look and feel into it. It has a metallic finish on the lid, palm rest brushed with aluminum and chrome accents that make it appear luxurious and contributing into its solid built. Its 17 inch screen comes with 1600 x 900-pixel resolution. The brightness is perfect for indoor use but not extremely vibrant. It also produces great colors that can make your movies and photos appear better to the eyes.

The sheer size of the screen alone makes it ideal for viewing and gives the viewers with the best experience, making them excellent for movie lovers out there. The Dell XPS 17 Laptop also features large keyboard that is a bit flex making the action to be not as hard as how you would want it but its keys has isolation keys that are comfortable to use for hours.

Dell XPS 17 Laptop Review also touts the line of features it is equipped with. It comes with a pair of JBL speakers that sit in the chassis of the laptop that can give the best audio. If you desired to use the machine for playing music, you will be impressed of how good the sound it produces is.

The laptop is also equipped with Nvidia’s 3DTV Play technology which means that while the panel of the laptop is not 3D ready, you still can stream 3D content to compatible monitor through the laptop. This would certainly sound like a great option if you like streaming 3D games and films and share it with others on the big screen. It also features 2-megapixel webcam.

Overall, the Dell XPS 17 Laptop Review is an impressive and high end multimedia machine that offers great performance and functionality along with impressive features, making it one of the most competitive laptops in the marketplace.

Pros: Comes in 4 colors, attractive exterior, equipped with great features

Cons: No USB 3.0 and eSata ports

Review:
The Dell Inspiron 620/620s Desktop comes in two sizes, the slim tower and mini tower form. The slim version has black front bezel. Aside from the cabinet, the Inspiron slim also has a number of features such as the Dell US keyboard, 18.5 inch monitor and Dell MS111 USB mouse. However, the speakers are not included in the packaged and are to be separately purchased. If you don’t prefer black, you can choose from among the 4 other colors in this series such as Formosa Red, Solid White, Deep Purple and Peacock Blue.

The cabinet comes with fair build quality. The cabinet of the slim tower comes with glossy black bezel outlined in front by a silver border. The rest of the exterior of the cabinet is black in color, measuring 14.9 inch H x 4.2 inch W and 17.01 inch D. It has four rubber stands at the best and on the right side that allowed the cabinet to be positioned upright vertically or horizontally on the side as per your space requirement.

There are two front flip panels that are placed at the top of the cabinet that reveal the optical drive and number of ports for headphone, 2 USB ports, microphone jack and a slot for multi card reader. At the front area of the cabinet is where the Dell logo is displayed. The power button is placed below the logo of Dell with access indicator LED hard drive that is placed below the power button.

Just like other cabinets, you need to take out the 2 screws of the removable left slide of the cabinet to access the interior. Dell did a very good job in wiring the innards that reduces the clutter and provides clean organization with the modules of the hardware including graphics card, memory and hard drive that becomes easily accessible. It comes with an exhaust fan that is situated on top of the processor and hard disk front. It also features 250W power supply. The power supply is placed at the cabinet’s bottom which is a favorable choice as it can offer better ventilation into the interior of the cabinet.

The LED widescreen backlit display in 18.5 inches is bordered with glossy and black bezel. The viewing angles are decent from the vertical and horizontal angle of viewing. The Dell Mouse also works well but it does not have great look or feel. The Inspiron 620s run into an Intel 2nd Generation Sandy Bridge processor.

Overall, the Dell Inspiron 620/620s Desktop is great in terms of performance and the kind of features it brings along.

Dell Vostro 3350 is a 13 inch small business laptop designed for professionals who consider battery life and mobility above everything else. If there is a need for extra horsepower, the laptop can accommodate your needs as well. Its second generation Core i5 processor power has over nine hours of battery life. The Vostro 3350 slips into the look that Latitudes had for the past two years. Its design has magnesium alloy frame that comes in Aberdeen Silver color and black trimmings in the back and front. If you don’t like silver, bronze and red options are also available. The 13.3 inch widescreen is two sizes smaller compared to the 156 inch but they have relatively the same resolutions. The full size keyboard is guaranteed on every 13 inch laptops from Dell. But this model has more transformations than the rest for its keys are little isolated squares. It provides comfortable and delightful experience for various kinds of workloads.

The dedicated mouse buttons on the other hand are not as soft as those found in the Dell V130 and are not overly resistant either. Rather, they are complemented by wide touchpad which makes navigating experience better than the rest.

It is equipped as well with HDMI port and the usual features such as card reader, Ethernet, VGA and webcam. It does not have generous capacities though, but its 320GB drive is fast-spinning. It also comes with wireless and wired connections such as Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and the optional 3G Mobile Broadband.

Vostro 3350 runs on full powered standard voltage processor. Along with the 4GB of DDR3 memory, it also topped the others in the Cinebench R11.5 and Handbrake tests. The 80WH battery is the icing of the cake of this device as it is bigger than any other battery belonging into the category. This battery is suitable for travelers and it is unmatched in this department.
